šŸ‚ IT’S FALL Y’ALL!

I realized I missed sending September AND October newsletters, but there’s not really anything to catch you up on: carving things, printing things, surviving The Horrors (tm). Just trying to keep everything on an even keel.

šŸŽØ ON THE PRESS

I’ve been working on what the heck to make for the holiday season, and I think I’m going to do folklore from around the world. If you’ve been around for awhile, you know I love Krampus, and I’ll probably grab that block from the archive for a small run. I also carved Mari Lwyd, and I’m really tempted to make shirts that say ā€œspittin’ bars.ā€ Oh! And definitely the Yule Cat too!

šŸ”„Ā UNHINGED RECOMMENDATIONS

šŸ“šSpeaking of the Yule Cat and things that are unhinged, I’m SPEEDING through the Dungeon Crawler Carl series by Matt Dinniman. I know you’re a bunch of nerds out there, and his official description is ā€œLitRPG,ā€ so if that, plus the mere IDEA of Princess Donut the cat doesn’t have you running to the library, I don’t know what to tell you.

šŸŽ§Ā This is only an unhinged recommendation because y’all know how I feel about Hozier. His new collaboration with Mumford and Sons, ā€œRubber Band Manā€ is a beautiful, amazing, superlative song. Plus, Marcus Mumford tells a story about the lyrics saying they came from a text that Brandi Carlisle sent him after a dream.

šŸ“ŗĀ I don’t really have any TV recommendations - mostly because I’m slowly getting rid of all the subscriptions because you know, billionaires and stuff. I did watch a TON of baseball because the Mariners and the Cubs were both playing October ball, but alas. I’m also STOKED to see Guillermo del Toro’s Frankenstein. I wish it was playing in a theatre in my town.

šŸ“¢ THE REST OF THE STORY

🦃 So… my favorite holiday is Thanksgiving, definitely NOT because of colonialism, but because I love being with my people sharing a meal (STUFFING and PIE, plz!) and thinking about all the wonderful things in my life. This month’s Peel and Squeal is going to say ā€œfood is a right, not a privilegeā€ and half of your subscription is going to Second Harvest, our local food bank. If you’re getting the newsletter, but not stickers, in my completely unbiased opinion, you’re missing out. It’s just $5/month. You can give it as a holiday gift too! Click to subscribe!

šŸ›ļøYou can find me on 12/6 at Queer Country - 8-Midnight at The Chameleon and on 12/13 at BrrZaar - all day at River Park Square.

I’m always SUPER GLAD you’re here and you support me as an artist, small business, and friend. I’ll do my best to remember to send a December newsletter, but you know, no guarantees. šŸ˜…

Peace out, Brussels sprouts!
